TWC Home

The Writer's Circle is an open community of writers who gather every Spring in rural Connecticut to share the experience of writing. We are: poets, novelists, essayists, screen writers, short story writers and playwrights.

Our hope is that we will leave better writers than when we arrived - but we don't pretend to know how that will happen - we simply provide a space in which it can. Here you will find:

a view from virtually anywhere
the opportunity to commune with other writers
the opportunity not to
a place to rediscover nature, externally and internally
the option to enjoy many local activities
an invitation to attend any of our formal workshops
an invitation to attend any of our informal workshops

We are for and about writing, so - don't expect mints on the pillow or meals with French-sounding names.
